Pakistan PM claims US and Iran have reached agreement; signing reportedly set for June 19 in Switzerland
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced that the United States and Iran have reached a political agreement, with a formal signing ceremony reportedly scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland.
According to Sharif, the deal was achieved after intensive negotiations and includes a broader understanding on ending hostilities. He stated that both sides have agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations across all fronts, including in Lebanon.
Sharif added that the official signing ceremony is expected to take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland, and that a series of follow-up meetings involving mediators will be organized later this week to support implementation of the agreement.
The Pakistani prime minister also expressed gratitude to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey for their diplomatic support in facilitating the talks between Washington and Tehran.
However, as of now, there has been no independent confirmation from US or Iranian officials regarding the alleged agreement or the planned signing ceremony.
