On 8 December 2024, the Baku City Khatai District Court issued a ruling: to apply a preventive measure against Ulvi Tahirov in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months.

According to Bahruz Bayramov, Ulvi Tahirov's lawyer, his client has nothing to do with Meydan TV, ‘They were just friends with Aynur Elgunash.
A large sum of money was seized during the search of Tahirov's house.
However, Tahirov said the money belonged to his wife who has been charging her clients for the service since she is working as an accountant.
Tahirov has not travelled abroad since 2022”.
