On 17 August 2025, the Aghdam District Court issued an order: to satisfy the investigator’s petition on arrest and issue a preventive measure against Ilhami Nasibov in the form of detention for a period of 4 months. Conclusion: According to the AR Interior Ministry's official press service, on 17 August 2025, in Agdam district, the police detained Ilhami Nasibov (born in 2000) who used to introduce himself as the head of Kanal-21 on social networks, who was accused of extorting various sums of money from a number of citizens. In the meantime, on 21 August 2025, it was published the information in fact I. Nasibov had been investigating social problems and in recent days, he had been spreading information about the protests of Arab Shahverdi villager in Qobustan district due to the lack of water. That information was published on the website of an opposition newspaper banned in Azerbaijan. That information, as well as the details of certain officials' and police officers' corrupt activities in the district, was the main reason behind the journalist- blogger's arrest. The information about the real reason for the journalist's arrest appeared on the Azadliq newspaper's website, and immediately after the website was attacked by pro-government hackers and trolls. 35
