The fact that Shahin Hajiyev is under constant police persecution is due to his harsh criticism of the authorities on the social networks.
In his appeal to the public, he stated that he had been arrested upon the order on the basis of trumped-up charges.
Hajiyev stated that he had signed his testimony as a result of torture.
According to the activist, no expertise was conducted after his detention, and falsified reports were attached to his case.
"They wrote that a forensic drug examination dated on 29 November, determined that I had suffered from heroin addiction.
However, no examination was conducted on 29 November.
I never used either cigarettes or alcohol," Hajiyev wrote.
The Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan is convinced that the real reason for the activist's arrest is his critical publications against the authorities on the social networks.
