On 1 December 2025, the Baku City Sabayil District Court sentenced Ali Karimli to 2 months and 15 days in a pre-trial detention center Place of detention: Pre-trial Detention Center of the State Security Service Conclusion: On 29 November 2025, the State Security Service (SSS) arrested Ali Karimli, the PFPA leader.
At the same time, a number of other party activists also got arrested, and their homes were searched.
Among them was Mammad Ibrahim, one of the PFPA leaders.
As his son Turan Ibrahim wrote on his Facebook page, he had been unable to obtain any information about what had happened at his father's house for several hours.
Later, he wrote that 13 SSS officers had searched his father's house and then taken him away, confiscating his telephone and computer.
It should be noted that Mammad Ibrahim has been repeatedly arrested for his participation in anti-government protests.
He was sentenced to three years imprisonment in March 2016 on trumped-up charges.
He was classified as a political prisoner.
Once again, he has been arrested on false charges, and is awaiting the court's verdict. 86
