On 21 May 2022, the Baku City Sabunchu District Court issued a ruling: to apply a preventive measure against Rashad Ramazanov in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months.

The period of detention in custody during the investigation has been subsequently extended several times Sentence: On 2 February 2024, the Baku City Court for Serious Crimes sentenced to 5 years and 4 months in prison Judge: Azer Taqiyev Place of detention: Penal Colony № 11 in Baku City Binagadi District Conclusion: Earlier, Rashad Ramazanov was arrested twice for his political views.

He was released in 2019 by Presidential pardon in March 2019.

On 20 May 2022, at about 4 pm he was detained and brought to the 14th Police Station of the Sabunchu District Police Department of Baku.

Later, officers of this police station reported that Rashad Ramazanov was detained by the Main Directorate for Combating Drug of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

After the arrest, he was taken to the Binagadi District Police Department.

Rashad Ramazanov denied all the accusations against him.

In an interview given to the journalists, Elchin Sadigov, a lawyer, said that Rashad Ramazanov had stated before the Court that he had been subjected to torture immediately after his detention.

Even the expertise acknowledged that the marks of violence on his body coincided in time with the period of his detention.

And Sadiqov added, "Ramazanov's guilt was not proven.

The Court should have acquitted him but instead issued a verdict of conviction". 5
