On the occasion of the President's spouse, Mehriban Aliyeva's birthday, in late August 2023, the poet wrote another satirical poem that had a wide public response.

In early September 2023, Ibrahim Khudiyev supported Tofiq Yaqublu, an opposition politician, writing some poems.

In response, on 22 September 2023, 56 the Salyan district police officers detained the poet.

The same day, it was a trial where Ibrahim Khudiyev accused the police of planting drugs on him.
